Grab pizza on us and join Kristi Vanderhoof, Career Center Coordinator at Las Positas College, as she walks startup founders and team members through the process of attracting,hiring, and retaining college student interns. Daybreak Labs founder and serial entrepreneur, George Farquar, will discuss how he built a high-performing team at his last company, Buzzkill Labs, with a strategic hiring strategy that began with internships.
Attendees will learn:
- Timeline for posting, hiring, and starting interns
- How to create a Handshake account
- How to structure an internship project so the company and intern both get value
- How to retain effective interns and attract them as future FTEs
